Specialists in Industrial Silencing
Industrial SilencingStoddard Silencers Incorporated was founded to service the industrial needs for intake and/or discharge silencers on blowers, compressors, engines, vacuum pumps and gas vents. Since its inception it has tackled silencing problems covering the entire spectrum of industries and applications. Each inquiry is individually handled by the Sales-Engineering Department which offers 50 years of combined experience with application, design and fabrication of industrial silencers. Stoddard is ready and able to solve your silencer problems. In the event pressure drop, silencer envelope or nozzle orientation is critical, let us know.  Sales Engineers are available to assist you in the selection of the correct type and size of silencer, or to custom design equipment to meet special requirements. Stoddard Silencers is associated with Stoddard Silencers Canada, Inc. which was founded in 1984.

  • SERIES L - Rotary Blower Intake Silencers
Intake silencers effectively reduce the noise and destructive low frequency pulsations that can be detrimental to surrounding equipment and personnel.
  • SERIES D - Rotary Blower Discharge Silencers
Discharge Silencers are essential to a good system performance on all rotary blower systems.
  • SERIES PD - Packaged Discharged Silencer with Base
The PD is a discharge silencer for blowers on which the blower, motor and belt guard are mounted as an integral part of the silencer support frame.
  • SERIES V - Vacuum Pump Separator Silencers
Vacuum pumps are designed primarily to handle gas, such as air. Stoddard Silencers can furnish intake and discharge separator silencers to remove entrained liquid and attenuate noise in vacuum system piping.
  • SERIES C - Centrifugal Compressor Silencers
The centrifugal principle compresses air or gas by the dynamic action of rotating vanes or impellers, importing velocity and pressure to the fluid. Effective treatment of the intake and discharge noise generated by the centrifugal compressors is accomplished through the use of low pressure-drop, absorption-type silencers.
  • SERIES CF - Fan Silencers
Attenuation of the intake and discharge noise generated by fans is accomplished by using high volume, low pressure drop, absorption type silencers.
  • SERIES E - Engine Silencers
The selection of the correct type of engine intake and exhaust silencer is determined by the type of engine, the end use of the engine, and the degree of silencing required.
  • SERIES F - Air Intake Filters and Filter Silencers
Air intake filter and filter silencer requirements vary with installation locations and type of foreign matter being removed from the air. The Series F-64 Air Intake Filter and Filter Silencers are designed to mount directly on the inlet of an engine, blower or compressor. Panel types for high volume flows are also available.
  • SERIES F-65 - Inline Air Filters
The Series F-65 Filter is designed to mount directly in the air piping for engines, blowers or compressors.
  • SERIES B - Vent Silencers
Selection of the correct silencer for a given application requires the solution of two problems. One involves sizing the silencer based on the gas flow data, while the other involves the selection of the most economical design to meet the specified noise criteria.
  • ENCLOSURES - PD Package
Silencing has been taken to the next power with the System - Sł.  Three sizes of galvanized steel enclosures are now available to fit our Positive Displacement Blower Packages "A", "B" and "C".  Ventilated, with two access doors plus piping and power ports, they provide a minimum of 20 dB package noise reduction.
